DAY 1 - From Chaves to Santa Marta de Penaguião: We start this long-awaited itinerary in km0, the city of Chaves, known for its therapeutic hot springs and rich history. On the way to Santa Marta de Penaguião, you'll find several charming stops. In Vigado, enjoy a relaxing break and explore the surrounding countryside. Continue on to Pedras Salgadas, where you can visit the Pedras Salgadas Thermal Park, which dates back to the 19th century, and enjoy the famous spring water that gives rise to the Água das Pedras brand. In Vila Pouca de Aguiar, be sure to appreciate the local architecture and taste the region's culinary delicacies. Finally, in Vila Real, make a stop to explore Mateus Palace and the city streets before arriving in Santa Marta de Penaguião.
DAY 2 - From Santa Marta de Penaguião to Viseu: On the second day we set off from Santa Marta de Penaguião towards Viseu, passing through some of the most charming towns in the north of Portugal. Make a stop in Peso da Régua to enjoy the stunning views over the River Douro and, if you have time, visit one of the many quintas in the region. In Lamego, don't miss the opportunity to visit the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios and its imposing staircases. Continue your journey to Castro Daire, where you can explore the natural beauty of the surrounding area and enjoy a traditional Portuguese meal.
DAY 3 - From Viseu to Pedrogão Pequeno: On the third day we travel from Viseu to Pedrogão Pequeno, passing through stunning landscapes and charming towns and villages. Stop in Tondela to explore its historic center and visit the Terras de Besteiros Museum. In Santa Comba Dão, take the opportunity to stroll along the walkways of the Santa Comba Dão stream and explore the surrounding area. Don't miss the opportunity to visit Penacova and enjoy the panoramic views over the River Mondego. Continue on to Vila Nova de Poiares, where you can explore its picturesque streets and taste the local cuisine. Finally, in Góis, discover the stunning landscapes of the Serra da Lousã Natural Park.DAY 4 - From Pedrogão Pequeno to Brotas: On the fourth day we set off from Pedrogão Pequeno towards Brotas, exploring some of Portugal's most charming towns and villages. DAY 5 - From Brotas to Ferreira do Alentejo: On the fifth day we travel from Brotas to Ferreira do Alentejo, exploring some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Alentejo. Make a stop in Ciborro to enjoy the natural beauty of the Alentejo countryside and explore its picturesque streets. In Montemor-o-Novo, don't miss the chance to visit its medieval castle and enjoy the panoramic views over the region. Continue to Torrão, where you can explore the banks of the River Sado and enjoy a traditional Alentejo meal.
DAY 6 - From Ferreira do Alentejo to Faro: On the last day of this adventure we set off towards Faro, exploring some of the most charming towns and villages in the south of Portugal. Stop off in Aljustrel to visit its copper mines and explore its historic center. In Castro Verde, don't miss the chance to visit the Guadiana Valley Nature Reserve and enjoy the natural beauty of the region. Continue on to Almodôvar, where you can explore its picturesque streets and enjoy the local gastronomy. Finally, in São Brás de Alportel, explore its historic center and discover the local traditions before arriving in Faro.
