DAY 1:
Your adventure begins as you arrive at the breathtaking Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês. The village of Gerês is your first stop. Head to Arado Waterfall in the afternoon. The short hike reveals a beautiful waterfall cascading into a serene pool, inviting you to dip your toes in its cool waters.
⛺️ As the day draws to a close, we recommend camping at Cerdeira Camping, nestled in the heart of Gerês, surrounded by nature’s symphony.
DAY 2:
An early start takes you to the enchanting Tahiti Waterfall. The multi-tiered cascades and crystal-clear pools provide the perfect setting for the morning. After lunch, a scenic drive leads you to the Portela do Homem Waterfall. Accessible from the border, offer yet another chance to marvel at the raw beauty of Gerês.
⛺️ As the evening light softens, we recommend camping Camping Lamas de Mouro, your tranquil retreat for the night.
Today, you delve deeper into the park. Leonte Waterfall, smaller but equally charming, is your first stop. The gentle rush of water over rocks provides a peaceful backdrop for your morning hike. Later, a journey to São João da Fraga reveals the serene Pincães Waterfall. It’s a hidden gem, perfect for a leisurely afternoon surrounded by the untouched beauty of the park.
⛺️ As night falls, we recommend camping at Ermida Gerês Camping, a family-friendly spot with stunning views.
DAY 4:
The village of Fafião greets you with its rustic charm. A hike to Fafião Waterfall leads you through lush landscapes to a tranquil cascade, far removed from the bustling world. Nearby, Antas de Fafião Waterfall presents another slice of paradise, where nature’s beauty is on full display.
⛺️ As the sun sets, we recommend camping at Campsite O Recanto, a peaceful spot to relax after the day’s discoveries.
DAY 5:
Your final day begins with a hike to Poço Azul, one of Gerês’ most stunning blue pools. The water here is a mesmerising shade of blue, inviting for a refreshing dip. In the afternoon, if time allows, you may revisit Tahiti Falls or explore another nearby trail, soaking in the last moments of this incredible journey.
⛺️ Return to Cerdeira Camping or another chosen campsite for your final night under the stars.
